Selection FAQ
- Will it distort after welding?
- Yes — stainless has low thermal conductivity and high shrinkage. Balanced, staggered welding with fixtures is the usual approach; visible parts may need straightening or machining after welding.
- Is post-weld pickling needed?
- Recommended. Welding destroys the passive layer and leaves heat tint; pickling and passivation restores corrosion resistance, especially on 316L and duplex.
